YKK® SNAD® Self Adhesive Snap Stud Fasteners with easy installation.
By combining an auto-grade polyacetal fastener with an adhesive backing of 3M™ and VHB™ acrylic conformable foam, YKK® brand SNAD® stud and socket components perform without the problems caused by conventional snap systems. Unlike traditional metal snaps, SNAD® is a plastic adhesive snap component. These adhesive snap fasteners will not snag clothing or deteriorate from exposure to sunlight, sand, or dirt. Plus, walking on SNAD® is pain free due to its unique dome shape.
Installation is simple, pre-clean the surface where the snap is to be applied (best results with isopropyl alcohol), peel off the protective paper backing, position and firmly hold the snap in place and release.
No tools, no waiting, no splits, no holes!
After application, the bond strength increases and approaches the ultimate bond strength after 72 hours at 70°F (21°C). Typical bond strength build-up: 20 minutes equals 50% bond strength, one hour equals 75% bond strength, one day equals 90% bond strength, and three days equals 100% bond strength. Important Note About SNAD Use and Replacement: SNAD® fasteners are consumable products designed for temporary use. The adhesive will gradually weaken with regular use and will eventually need replacement. To ensure proper performance, use SNAD® fasteners only in their intended applications as they are not suitable for holding heavy loads or in areas subject to high stress or pressure. Using SNAD® fasteners improperly or in unsuitable conditions will result in premature failure.
Please be aware that SNAD® fasteners are not covered under warranty. Failed units cannot be repaired and must be replaced with new ones. You are responsible for replacing SNAD® fasteners that fail due to normal wear, improper use, or unsuitable application conditions. Plan for regular replacement as part of normal maintenance.
